Well things are feeling much better now. Scored some hillbilly heroin from these Kazah guys at the central train station underpass, and now the world is my oyster. Only kidding but heck that would have been a story for the grandkids!
No i met with a colleague of mine from Citibank and had a lovely lunch followed by a meeting with Victor from my travel agency who wanted to know if I was an Irish freedom fighter, I dunno I told him that the freedom fighters had retired and gone into property and drug dealing.
Oh and my funny story. so i got a taxi into the centre, the traffic here is nuts, I mean crazy. Anyway, we were about 5 mins from the hotel when i saw flashing blue lights and next minute he was up against the car getting handcuffed. Then he leant into the car and said 5 minutes. to say I didn't believe him was an understatement. The another taxi came along and the driver was like, Mrs Blake, Mrs Blake, so I got in that taxi and got into the city okay. I will check for my guy on the amnesty website in the next couple of months.
After I had left Victor I took a walk down the Red Square but for some inexpicable reason the square was cordoned off and they weren't letting anyone in. Anyway it was pissing rain so I have decided to just get up early in the morning and go to Red Square then, instead. It'll be an experience on the train tomorrow anyway. Must remember to buy some vodka and some beer to share with my fellow passengers.
