Jay walking in Berlin

I just thought that this was quite funny, so today I was wandering around, it is such an amazing city, I am just embarrassed that i have never been here before. Anyway the street where the UK embassy is situated is blocked off on each end by concrete bollards (bet it wasn't that way pre-invasion of Iraq Mr. Brown). So I'm standing on this street and there is no through traffic, and the little man went red, everyone stopped and waited until the little man turned green again, note I said there was no through traffic.
Oh and another thing I learnt today is, don't tell a Roma that you can't speak English in Czech that only makes the situation at once more difficult and potentially dangerous.
