Its just gobsmackingly beautiful here, so serene and calm, just like a little piece of paradise. Apparently Marco Polo said that this was the most beautiful city in China and compared it with Kilarney. Now you see the problem is that the city itself, that old Marco saw I fear is gone only to be replaced with big concrete looking malls, just like any other Chinese city. Those pesky communists and their zero taste in design. 
Spent a good part of the day today walking around the lake here and being stared at by the locals. I would have expected that there would have been way more European tourists here but nope. so yet again O am being pointed at, stared at and giggled about, it's great I feel like a movie star.
