I'm a Kiwi if anyone asks...
It's so freaking clean here ... Beijing really has to be seen to be believed, everywhere you go it's like walking into the crowd coming out of Croke park at the end of a match, there are that many people, everywhere. But it's spotless. If this was Ireland and there were that many Irish people we would be up to our ears in filth. The other day while hanging out in the Forbidden City I saw this big tri-colour, obviously an Irish tour group, and even with the signs all over the place saying UNSECO World Heritage siteplease do not smoke, there were the paddies puffing away regardless .... oh the shame, and some of them were wearing rugby jerseys, here's me telling everyone i'm from Auckland.

What I didn't realise when I arrived in Beijing is that I had arrived during Golden Week. This is a week long national holiday where people come from all over the country to see the capital. That is why, although it is a crowded city it was particularly crowded on the days I visited the Forbidden City and the city centre.
